Maye D. Collins

Maye Dixon Collins Chesnee, SC. Ms. Maye D. Collins, 82, passed peacefully from this life the morning of November 28th after a gradual decline in health. She was supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Ms. Collins was born December 16, 1937 in Woodruff, SC but was raised and lived in Chesnee most of her life. Maye is survived by twin sister Fay Cooley and sister Beth White; her four children and (Spouses): Paula Greene, Tony Collins (Michelle), Crystal Hall (Matthew), Barbara Smith; six grandchildren and (Spouses): Ryan Cooper, Tiffany Lester (Andre’), Josh Sanders (Amber), Bryson Hall (Kim), Chandler Hall and Robbie Greene; and five great-grandchildren: Reese and Riley Cooper, Kaylynn Greene, Cassidy and Silas Lester. She was preceded in death by a son Robert F. Beason, granddaughter, Misty Brakefield, brothers, Walter “Dub” and Hugh “Alvin” Dixon and sister Margaret Ervin. Ms. Collins was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Dixon and the late Grace Eppley Dixon. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
