Iris F. Martines Columbus, NC. Iris Freida Martines, 95, of Johnson Road passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home. Born May 12, 1924 in Drayton, SC., she was a daughter of the late Benjamin A. Martines and Clara Lewis Martines and was a member of Melvin Hill Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her children, Deborah Martines-Cates of Hendersonville, Mark Martines of Easley, Tim Martines of Boiling Springs; sister, Arretta Martines of the home; brother, Danny Martines of the home; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Martines. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Melvin Hill Church of the Brethren with Rev. Craig Scruggs officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Moore, SC. Family members are at their respective homes.
