Georgia Mae Hughey

Georgia M. Hughey Chesnee, SC. Georgia M. Hughey, 86, widow of Edwin Taft Hughey of Sandy Ford Rd. passed away Friday, February, 23, 2018 at her home. Born February 22, 1932 in Cliffside, NC., she was a daughter of the late Jim Compton and Corine Bishop Compton. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Martha Motts of Chesnee, Peggy Gosnell and husband Ron of Chesnee; grandson, James Hiott and wife Michelle and two other grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Joe Hughey. Graveside Services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Scott Scrimpsher officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary The family is at the home.
