Charlie Parris

Charlie H Parris Jr. Mayo, SC. Charlie Henry Parris Jr., 69, widower of Allison Gosnell Parris of Mayo Road, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born June 26, 1948 in Gaffney, he was a son of the late Charlie Henry Parris Sr. and Bonnie Peeler Cabaniss. He was an Army National Guard Veteran and was a member of First Baptist Church of Mayo. Surviving is his son, Chip Parris of Mayo, daughter, Neeley Queen and husband Josh of Gaffney; brother, Orren Atkins of Gastonia, NC; sister, Mary Atkins Harmon and husband Mickey of Gaffney; grandson, Jack Queen and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Carrie McAbee. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Sidney Norton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary. The family is at the home of Neeley and Josh Queen, 105 Hampton Drive, Gaffney, SC.
